Palazzo
Las Vegas, Nevada

I'm talking to myself here. Where are the other Las Vegas scribblers? This would be the ideal place to post notes, since there are so many nice looking restaurants and bars.
My visit is nearly over. I'd stay at the Palazzo again if I got great rates and promo coupons, but for a real first class stay, it's the Bellagio.

    • Remember that you might be talking to future Vegas scribbers who stumble upon your notes. I agree, though, that Vegas is great for Scribular. Thanks for starting things off.

    • I, for one, have loved your scribs! I agree Las Vegas is a scribblers paradise, given the world class people watching and places of interest.
I've stayed at the Bellagio, and it's by far the best hotel I've seen in Vegas. Did you check out the Wynn? That has to be at least as nice as the Bellagio.

      • It's sort of lonely over at the Wynn. I'm sure the rooms are gorgeous, but the shops and restaurants are so expensive that they're a bit deserted. A second tower, Encore, looks like it's near completion.

This is my third night at the Palazzo. On the second night only, they left little chocolates on my bed, but not nights one or three. I don't get it.
UPDATE: Aa soon as I hit save, a maid knocked on the door and gave me 6 little chocolates!!

It certainly is quiet here at night. From inside the room, you hear nothing. I slept well. There is plenty of hot water for your morning shower, and an array of soaps and shampoos to choose from.

First impressions aren't great. Self-parking stinks, so I finally went to valet. While waiting to check in, some line facilitator type named Alisha complained about her day, her yesterday. Then after I was already in my room, a room checker came in to make sure the towels were arranged correctly. Is this how you run a first class hotel? At least I'm paying Panic of '08 rates.
The room in nice, very big. There's some dust or bits of something on the sofas, which is why I never sit on sofas in hotel rooms.
Will update once I've gotten the lay of the land.
